2nd Street Community Church seeks to hire an Associate Pastor

2nd Street Community Church is a small congregation of about 40 people in Newberg, Oregon. Though we are small in number, we carry deep roots in our community and broad influence through relationships, history, and service. Our church family is rich in wisdom, experience, and a desire to make a lasting difference for God’s Kingdom.

The associate pastor is a part-time position of 20-25 hours per week, working under the supervision of lead pastor Bruce Steffensen in a mentoring relationship, with ultimate responsibility to the church’s elders. The church envisions this position growing and transitioning into the full-time lead pastor position when ready. The associate pastor position will be asked to commit to a 12-month term, with a check-in at six months to assess mutual fit and progress. Following this review, the pastor may either continue in the role or conclude the appointment.
