Yearly Meeting 2011
July 24-28
True spiritual maturity is most fully expressed in community. When individual members experience the connecting power of the Holy Spirit and when our differences and disputes are surrendered to Jesus, we find a unity that transcends our diversity. We have a new purpose and direction. We become grown-up…in the faith. This week, our theme, ”In Christ—One People, Growing Together,” will help us focus on being one people growing together to experience a life of spiritual transformation and to bear witness to the power of God among us to a watching world.
Speaker:
Jan Wood, a recorded Friends minister and a member of North Seattle Friends, is the director of GOOD NEWS Associates in Seattle (goodnewsassoc.org/leadershipinstitute). She is a speaker, writer, spiritual director and consultant. Her books include Christians at Work, Not Business as Usual, Practicing Discernment Together: Finding God’s Way Forward in Decision Making (co-author of last two). Jan will speak to us Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

As you consider joining us in Newberg for Yearly Meeting 2011. We will also be live-streaming the evening addresses, so even if you cannot make it, you can join us individually or as a group, for worship and challenge.
Registration
Online registration for Yearly Meeting sessions is now CLOSED. You can still register in person on Sunday, July 24, at Yearly Meeting. Registration and check-in will take place from 1—5 p.m. in the EHS atrium on George Fox University’s campus.

(If you are traveling from a distance, and would like to stay on campus Saturday night before YM begins, please call Kimberly at the YM office to make special arrangements: 503.538.9419. This is not reflected in the online registration process.)

Youth Yearly Meeting (YYM) is designed as a leadership training conference for students involved in the Friends Church who have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. » read more ».
Kids @ Yearly Meeting
Our 2011 Yearly Meeting includes a variety of activities for kids of all ages:
- Little Friends (infant through pre-kindergarten)
Nursery, preschool and pre-kindergarten children have appropriate supervision and activities during all Yearly Meeting adult meeting times.

- Sunday – 2:45-5:00pm (for children of representatives) and 5:00-8:45pm (during banquets and Outreach Celebration – no meal provided)
- Monday – Thursday – 8am-12 noon; 12:45-5pm; 6:45-8:45pm
