As we seek Jesus daily we are commanded to “be Jesus to the world.” How do we face his powerful mission? Often in our daily walk God has led us to the world, directing us to reach out beyond the pews, beyond the walls of a church building. Micah 6:8 instructs, “…and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
As she demonstrated with her life, Mother Teresa also stated about those she served, “Each one of them is Jesus in disguise.” Reaching out to those who need Jesus is more than speaking his name. It is being his hands, his arms, his legs. As each of us reach out, know it is God’s mission and God’s plan, and he is enough. We are in the place God has sent us, to plant infant seeds of faith in dark places that we may not see mature. Remember to be faithful to where God has placed you, where he has sent you, where he desires you to make a difference. Don’t let disappointment change your desire to serve him.
Where are you serving Jesus in disguise?
