Peace with Justice — Gregg Koskela

One Saturday a month you’ll find people from Newberg Friends laughing, sweating, and serving as they split and stack firewood. This year work has a big payoff in the winter months, as this firewood is given to those in our community who struggle to find the dollars to heat their homes. Combining with the local Love INC chapter, our splitters and stackers depend on the earlier work of others in our church who find wood for free that can be transformed into this ministry of love. Others volunteer with their pickups and trailers to deliver this wood where it is needed through the winter months. It’s a beautiful, tangible sign of God’s people caring for others.
