We are pleased to announce that Krista Ray has agreed to become the new NWYM Administrative Assistant! Krista will join the staff beginning July 18 and work alongside our current administrative assistant, Kimberly Felton, through the month of August.
Krista comes to us highly qualified and highly recommended. She graduated from George Fox University as a graphic design/youth ministry major in 2010. People who know her describe Krista as very organized, experienced at leading large events and activities, an excellent editor, personable and energetic. Previous experience includes residence life work at GFU, office support in the GFU advancement and development offices, and customer service with the Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg, OR.
Krista expressed a deep interest in applying for this position because of her growing interest in the ministry of NWYM and her desire to serve in an organization that resonates with her own values and sense of mission. She is engaged to Jon Maroni, youth pastor at 2nd Street Friends. The two will be married the first weekend of July in Portland, OR.
Kimberly and Krista will both work 10 hours per week through August, when Krista will assume the role on a half-time basis. We are excited to have Krista coming on board and expect she will be a terrific addition to the NWYM team. Please take time during Yearly Meeting sessions to thank Kimberly for her outstanding ministry among us and introduce yourself to Krista.
