Samuel School II

Samuel School II

This retreat is designed to further develop spiritual sensitivity and leadership abilities of high school students. Workshops, stretching activities such as a high ropes course and extended solo time, and journal activities combine to challenge youth to help nurture a Christ-centered lifestyle. Samuel School II (SSII) occurs during Memorial Day weekend, alternating between Oregon and Idaho. Our next SSII will be held May 25-28, 2012, at Camp Tilikum in Newberg, Oregon.

Here’s the Elders Introduction Letter (pdf) and Samuel School II Selection Guidelines (pdf) and Registration Form (pdf) for 2012 which explain the conference and selection process for sending high school youth to Samuel School II.

After the Samuel School II attenders have been selected, please send the student a Welcome Letter (pdf). Along with the Welcome Letter, provide the student with a Medical Release Form for NWYM and a Challenge Course Release for Tilikum to be completed and either be mailed in to the NWYM office or submitted upon arrival to Tilikum.

Note: Programming will begin May 25, 2011 at 6 p.m. Dinner will NOT be provided at Tilikum. The retreat will conclude May 28, 2012 at 11:45 a.m (a sack lunch for the return home will be provided).
