GO!

GO! is a publication of Northwest Yearly Meeting. Designed particularly for children, its purpose is to give young people stories by and about children from around the world. It also includes illustrations, maps, and activities.

You can download and print past issues here.

Background Information: “GO! (God & Others) Missionary News for Young Friends” is published by Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends every other month. Local churches receive the publication in bulk from the Board of Global Outreach. Individual churches distribute the paper in various ways.

GO! is written for “young Friends,” but all ages enjoy reading each issue. It focuses on children of missionaries, those who minister to children overseas and stories of children around the world. It is printed in a folded 8.5″ x 11″ format similar to a church bulletin with the back page (4) containing a creative activity relating to the main theme of that issue.

GO! began publication in 2000 as a joint effort of the Board of Missions and the Board of
Christian Education with Verne Martin as board coordinator and Liz Price as editor.

Tentative Goal: Explore possibility of extending the coverage, contributions, editing and coordination of this publication to all Yearly Meetings of Evangelical Friends Mission.
