YCEW Northwest


Hello Students and Youthworkers,

This June 23-27, we invite students to consider joining us in YCEW NW–Youth Challenged to Expand their Worldview in the Northwest.

New Changes: Now the week of serving open to whoever wants to serve in community with others. Participation can be flexible—students can come either for one day or for a whole week! The cost will be either 50 dollars for the whole week or a specific amount for the day you attend. Here are plan for each day and what we will be doing:

  • Monday, June 23: Newberg Service Project with Love Inc. – $5
  • Tuesday June 24:  Farming and Social Justice at Fern Creek Farm – $5
  • Wednesday, June 25th: learn from Native American Christians at Eloheh Farm – $5
  • Thursday, June 26th: Meet with HomePDX, build relationship with the homeless community in Portland – $30 (extra fee for Dinner and Home PDX)
  • Friday – Canoe Trip – $5

    More Details:

  • Each day will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. (except for Thursday).
  • Students need to bring a sack lunch each day,
  • Plan to drop off and pick up students at Newberg Friends Parking Lot

    Students will need to bring a medical release form, a sack lunch, and fees for the day.
