Friendsview: Vision with a Future

Friendsview Retirement Community is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year and is sharing the story of its first 50 years in a new book titled, Friendsview: Vision with a Future. Friendsview’s history is closely tied to the history of NWYM and to a faithful group who had the vision for a faith community where retirement would offer active living along with the security of heath care when needed. Betty Hockett, who is a resident at Friendsview, wrote the book assisted by group of residents who provided research and editing. This full-color, 150 page book includes the name of every resident who has been part of the community. Beginning with its founding and continuing through 50 years of  engaging personal stories and memories, this book will be treasured  by anyone with a connection to Friendsview.

Copies will be for sale during the 2011 Northwest Yearly Meeting sessions and we encourage you to purchase one for your church library and as well as a copy for yourself or family members. The cost is $25 per copy.
