WEEK 1: Practicing The Lord’s Prayer
Bible reading: Matthew 6:5-15
What stands out to you from today’s Bible reading?
What does it mean for you to “go into your room and close the door?”
What is an area in your life where you need to ask for his will to be done (over your own will)?
What temptation do you need help with? Ask for God’s strength.
If you are struggling with a temptation today, read and memorize a beautiful promise from God’s word found in I Corinthians 13, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so you can endure it.”
Recite the Lord’s Prayer three times today.
Spend some time in silence before God. Invite him to speak to you. Write down your reflections and/or questions from this time.
